Pet Shop Boys have invited Xenomania to collaborate on the forthcoming PSB album. Xenomania worked with Saint Etienne or New Order in the past. "It's fun," says Neil. "They're making us work hard. Not that we don't normally work hard, anyway..." The new album should be released during the first half of 2009.
Since November 2007, various interesting recent and older songs (unreleased demos, rare remixes...) started to appear for playback on the official PSB website. You can find the current offer under Product (in Navigaion panel) - Exclusive tracks there. At the moment it contains for example Transfer (read below) or various demos from the period of Release and Fundamental albums.
More to that, there's a possibility how to get MP3 of the listed songs very easily. Make sure you are a member of "PSB at dead of night" newslettter (e-mail group) so you know the hint. In the archive of messages, refer to the entry "Exclusive tracks - hint".

The Killers' new single, Read My Mind, has been released yesterday in the UK, and two weeks ago in the US. The single contains stars are blazing mix by Pet Shop Boys (NB - it's mislabelled as 7" mix on the UK release sleeve, but in fact it contains full length mix; 7" edit also exists). And for the last time about new releases - the song She's Madonna, written by Robbie Willams and Pet Shop Boys (they also produced it), is to be released next week in the UK as a single. The track is taken from the latest Williams LP called Rudebox. The video can be seen on YouTube for example.

On February 18, Neil Tennant and Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters sung a medley of Love Comes Quickly (by PSB) and It Can't Come Quickly Enough (by SS). The performance was part of Scissor Sisters' charity gig in London.
PSB have recently remixed the song from the "Little Britain" UK comedy show, called I'm Gay (Get Over It). Their mix will be released for download in early 2007. The original version was written by Matt Lucas, David Walliams (both appeared in the I'm With Stupid video) and David Arnold for the finale of "Little Britain" live show.
They are also working on a remix of Read My Mind, the next single by The Killers (Sam's Town album). Again, the single should be released early next year.

In response to the question "Which online resources do you visit or use on a regular basis-at least once per week on the average-to obtain the latest news and information about the Pet Shop Boys?", posted as last week poll at PSB Song by Song Commentary website, my site gained 6,3 % of votes and reached 5th position among PSB websites (if I exclude discussions, as these are not real websites; it was possible to vote for more than one on-line resource). You can see the complete results here (Survey 281).
Thanks to all the permanent readers of this site and of course to all who cast a vote for it. Of course some 6 percents may not seem that much, but I'm happy for that and for the fact that these voters (and other visitors) like my way of what to present and how to present it. This web is for you; if you have any suggestions, just send me an e-mail.
From the National Portrait Gallery (NPG) website: "In a new display of iconic photographic portraits and album covers tracing the band's inventive use of their public image, the National Portrait Gallery celebrates the long career of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe as Pet Shop Boys..."
The exhibition focuses on Eric Watson's photographs, but includes also images from other photographers like Pennie Smith or Andy Earl. It takes place until 4 March, 2007, in the Bookshop Gallery, which is located in the basement of the National Portrait Gallery (St. Martin's Place, London WC2H 0HE). The gallery is open daily 10:00 - 18:00 GMT (last admission 45 minutes earlier), except for 24 - 26 December.

The new PSB single, called I'm With Stupid, should be released May 8 on three formats: CD, DVD and 7" vinyl. The single has been so far remixed by Melnyk, Max Tundra and Abe Duque. David Walliams and Matt Lucas (actors from the popular British show "Little Britain") will appear in the videoclip.
The new album Fundamental is to be released two weeks later on CD and LP. There will also be a limited 2CD edition; the bonus disc will contain dance tracks and remixes.

The new Fundamental album (the first all-new PSB album after four years) should be released on May 22, preceeded by the single I'm With Stupid, to be released on May 8. Lyrics of this song allegedly are (ironically) about relations between British prime minister Tony Blair and U. S. president George Bush.
Lyrics to this and one other song, Integral (inspired by the current plans to introduce a compulsory centralized identification system in the UK), can be found in the lyrics section.
